Tire Advice

1998 black Z28 Vert with black top. I bought a set of black 18 x 9.5 56mm offset Z06 Spyder Factory Reproductions. Also have Strano Springs waiting to be installed. Car is only driven in summer.

Based on what I read, biggest tire in front without issues would be 275 or 285 35 18. Anyone run a bigger tire on rear then front 18s? I'd like a slight rake on the car with rubber tucked in nice and tight.

I'm open to tire brand and size suggestions.

There's more room in the front than in the rear for a wide tire. I'm running a 315/30/18 all around and fronts bolted right up but I had to grind down the bump stops in the rear. Anything bigger than 315's in the rear and you're gunna need to get creative with the grinder.

If you want a rake I wouldn't put anything bigger than 19's in the rear, even that is debatable. There cars look best on 18's IMO.

Thanks for the input man. Yeah I went 18 x 9.5 all the way around....forgot to mention that above

Ideally you should be running 275s all around then. There is no real advantage to running a different size tire in the rear in this case, it would be different if you were running a drag setup.
