I’m about to pull the trigger on a few set of C5 deep dish wheels in 18x9.5 front / 18x10.5 rear. I’d like to run a 305/35/18 rear tire (Toyo R888) and am unsure if I should run a 275/35/18 or 275/40/18 up front.
305/35/18 rear = 26.41” tall w. 4.20” sidewall
275/40/18 front = 26.57” tall w. 4.33” sidewall (only 0.6% size difference)
275/35/18 front = 25.63” tall w. 3.79” sidewall (3.04% size difference)
The 275/40 is also super close to the rear tire size being less than 1% off. It kind of bothers me that the front tire would be taller but its only 1/8” more sidewall so less than ¼” overall. Am I overthinking it?
This is the car with 275/40/18 that I think really fills the wheel well nicely, but he has a taller tire in the rear than I am looking for so hard to compare exactly.

I wouldn't put more than a 35 series tire on an 18" rim, so I vote for a 275/35. that seems to be the popular size on an 18x9.5 wheel as well from what I have seen.
I found 305s to be a little short, imo. 315/35 fills the fender. Another vote for 275 up front. Selling my Toyos (TQs and T1s) with 800mi if you're interested....
