Default Cooper Zeon RS3-S

Anyone have any experience, good or bad, with these tires?

I'm a Michelin man usually, but with the rate at which I buy tires, they usually dry rot before I replace them. (~1k miles a year). So I'm debating getting these since they're literally half the price and don't look terrible as opposed to the Invo's which IMO look terrible.

Car is 99.9% nice weather/weekend street driven.

I'm running them for my fronts in a 275/40/17. Had them for about 4 years and maybe 15000 miles. No complaints.

I got 18/19 in these and until they warm up they can get you quite loose, but once warmed up they stick,

When I was looking I considered these (more so the Mickey Thompson version which I understand are pretty much the same) as well as the nitto NT05, and continental extreme contact DW. I ended up going with the DW and am happy with them. Just to give you another option to consider.

discounttiredirect has their labor day sale goin on now.

Lots of good deals.

I use to buy Coopers. All-in-all they're junk and wear quick, have odd harmonics, can track weird.

Michelins, never any of those issues. You indeed get what you pay for.

Use the treadwear warranty (if applicable), even if you're not down to the requirement, most places give you some sort of monetary incentive toward the proration

I run the on factory C6 Z06 wheels and have been very happy with them. For the price in C6Z sizes you won't beat them IMO. They seem every bit as good as a Nitto 555 but I've nly been running them for about 8 months I think. Seriously not trying to fanboy what I have but they hook up a mostly stock LS1 great, they handle very well for a 300 thread wear reated tire, I changed my oil a couple weeks ago and could tell they had much any wear, and my Camaro is my daily, and they don't cause me drama in the rain. I've been very happy with them. I really don't have much negative to say about them. They may be slightly noisy but nothing out the ordinary for and other tire in their class that I've used. Just don't expect them to be DR's and you likely won't be disappointed, but that's just my opinion.

That M/T street tire that people like to run is derived off this tire and it's made by Cooper. Plus Cooper is an American tire company and these are made in the U.S.
