Need advice on tires. 500whp, M6, 4.10 gears
What's the best bang for the buck. Just got some 15x10s, need something that will perform mostly on the street and a few track trips.
Have a 403LS that should be around 500 whp, M6 and 4:10 gears. Just motor for now. All rear suspension upgraded, lowered on a pro kit but can take out the rear springs and put the stock ones in.
I've read an M6 and 4:56 gears work well with a 28" tire.. should I aim for a 27" because I'm 4:10s.
I've seen the MT Street S/S work really well with an auto car, do they work well with the manual?
Heard good things about the Hoosier QTP because they are a bias ply.
Hoping to pull the trigger soon, thanks in advance for the help.

I think most have good luck with the ET street S/S for street/strip...Hoosier QTP's will work better with a stick car at the track being a bias ply, but M/Ts are more suited for the street being a radial.
I run the ET street S/S in a 275/40/17 on the street and they hook awesome, so they should work even better in a 15".
Running Hoosier QTP 27 x 11.5 x 15 at the track, and they take the shock of my M6 pretty well...I've only managed a 1.59 60' with them, but that's dumping the clutch at 6-7K rpm and my suspension is not dialed in
Do you drive in the rain at all?

As for size, it depends on your power level, race weight, gears and shift points...
With 4.10s in my car, minor weight reduction, shifting at 6800ish & 460whp, 26" would work perfect at the traps...but I went 27" to allow room for spray and more sidewall to hook with...I'm at around 6200ish through the traps now, where ideally I should be 6500-6800 for max mph
If your shift points are the same as me, I would start with a 27"...go 28" if you're gonna spray or run 4.30-4.56 gears
