What are my wheels? I have factory 16x8 five spoke wheels. They are not polished or chrome. I guess they are what everyone refers to as painted. What exactly is a painted wheel? What type of metal? Just painted on? Is this what's called anodized aluminum? Or is this a metal alloy wheel? Just wondering. Don't know what to clean them with besides soap and water...that doesn't seem to make them shine too well. Your help is always appreciated.

What you have are aluminum wheels with a factory polyurethane paint. Not the Krylon kind of paint but a production line type, which is pretty durable considering that the coating isn't on a blasted surface. They just clean off the wheel the best they can and spray it.
