Default 275/40/18 & 295/40/18 on staggered OE C5 DD wheels

So, I've done all of my searching in this forum and Google about 18" wheels and 40 series tires. It looks like the subject tire and wheel combination will fit, mostly. For the rear, roll the fender lip and massage the inner fender a bit for the 295/40/18 to fit and not rub. Will I need to remove the bump stop too? The wheels I'm looking at are 18 X 10.5 with a +56mm offset which I'm guessing will have the out side of the tire inside the edge of the wheel opening. Should I use a wheel spacer, and how thick to get it near flush? Also, my near term plan is to lower the car on BMR springs. Will that cause any real problems? I just want to get all my ducks in a row before I pull the trigger. Thanks in advance for your help.

i have a 95z and bought a set of c5 wheels. 17 x 9.5 +54 and 18 x 10.5 +58. they had 265/35/17 tires on the front and 295/35/18 on the back. had to massage the inner fender a little but otherwise np. when i bought new nitto 555 g2 i bought 275/40/17 for the front--- no problem and bought 295/40/18 for the rear. i had to massage the inner fender more . the 40's are a little wider. they do hang up on the bump stops only when jacked up on a lift. i bought 1/4" spacers to help with that and had to roll the fenders a bit to clear--tight on both inside and out but thats a lot of tire

Try searching for 295/40R18 instead of 295/40/18. If I recall correctly, I had to only BFH the rear quarters and I rolled the lips. I did end up going with 15mm spacers in the rear which put the wheel/tire flush against the rear quarter.
