315 tires
315 tires So I have a ? I want to put 315 tires in the back and 235 or 245 up front I am building a 408 stroker and have a 4000 stall and 373 gears alot of you guys recommended to put 315s back there but my ? Is what size rim tire combo do I need to achieve that with out modding anything. I have the spare jack amp and other things removed from the back to safe weight back there if that matters. And it'll mostly be me and maybe the fiance in the car at the same time. I just dont want the tire rubbing or having to mod anything so what size rim and rubber should I go with? I like the torque thrusts I have but there to small for a 315 as there just big enough to fit a 275 lol.
I believe all you'll need is an 11 1/2 inch wide wheel. The 315's will fit under the wheel wells, but without rolling the fenders slightly you're gonna have a rubbing issue when hard turning occurs. I'm running 315's on a 17 inch wheel, and have issues with them rubbing if I corner too fast.
nope not lowered stick height as far as i know and I have the panhard relocation kit for the 3" dual over the axel. Also what offset do you have? Also what was the tire profile? 315/××/17

All 315s tires are not the same width. Ask me how I know. Last Monday I mounted my Toyo drag radials 315 tires..... before I had sumitomo tires. The Toyos are a 1 to 1.5 wider. The tires rubbed my bump stops on the shop lift but once on the ground it cleared about a finger thickness between the tire and the frame/body.

It's a 315/35/17 and the offset for the wheel is 50mm I believe. Like mentioned above you'll definitely notice not all tires run the exact same width even though the are listed the same exact size. My 315 BFG's and Toyo TQ's ran really wide, the NT05R in the middle, and the 555R was very narrow
