Default 345/40r17 DRs vs 355/30r19 street tires...need inputs

Trying to decide if I want to get my wheels widened and run 345/40r17 Drag Radials, or buy new wheels and run Kuhmo or Pirelli 355/30r19s (I am doing a mini tub)

345/40r17 Toyo Proxes drag radicals $214
355/30r19 Pirelli PZero 220 AA A $376
356/30r19 Kumho Ecsta 200 AA A $360

My current 315 Toyo Proxes don't hold over 3k RPMs after a year, and they dont last over 2 years since I live in the desert.

If those TQ's don't hold over 3k, then you'll really hate a 19 inch street tire for traction lol

When the TQs are new they hold. Plus, the set I just bought have a 2016 manufacture date on them, and they already loose traction.

I was thinking 355 200/AA A street tires would hold better than 315 drag radials, and last 2-3 times as long as the 345 drag radials.

I don't think those will hold as good in a straight line. I ran 315 TQ's and they lasted about 8-10k and they stuck well for what they were pretty much till the end

Side not interested in your mini tub. Are you keeping rear seats or deleting them?

deleting, if I can find one of those kits that covers the rear seat area.
