Lightbulb 2002 WS6 T/A needs advice on wheels :(

... well guys, i just bought myself a 2002 WS6 TransAm, it's totally stock except the exhaust system, it has the factory 17' inch wheels but i want to upgrade to 18's and i really like the RPM/505 wheels and the HP/EVO's but it doesn't look like those are available anymore, but i have found some good candidates so far, but man this is exhausting trying to find wheels that not only look good but are available in the correct dimensions for the car, well here are my top pics so far please tell me what you guys think, oh and i'll be chrome lip with hyper silver centers

... this is basically what i'm aiming for as far as the amount of lip on the wheels and tire height, not sure of the backspacing these are but i like that front and back lips appear to be the same or at least very similar, i believe these wheels are 18X9.5's but not 100% sure, has anyone seen this car before or know who's car it is ?? Maybe they're a member here on the forum ?? ... ...

OK here you go: I like the 5 spokes for sure. I like the "thicker" looking 12-spoke (or whatever the count is) more than the skinny 12-spoke design.

One thing to keep in mind, if you think you might ever possibly want a big brake setup, like brembos, wilwoods, C7s etc, those wheels all appear to have the spokes set very deep. I just measured a C7 z51 caliper on my car and it needs at least 45mm of space from the mounting flange outward. All of these wheel styles don't appear to leave much extra room behind the spokes for a bigger caliper. Just something to consider.

... now that's something i didn't think about ... i plan on upgrading to Baer brakes, but not immediately ... i should probably search for threads with those brakes to see what i'm in for ... thanks for the good advice ...

... the TSW 5 spoke "STOW" wheel looks like it may have better caliper clearance, this video gives a good view of it ...

... that TSW 5 spoke is actually my favorite of what i've found so far, and i just priced an "18X9.5(45mm offset)" for $208.00 each !!!! That's pretty darn cheap for a wheel that size, i've chatted with a few wheel companies and that size with that offset is what they recommend, any of you guys have any pics of a car with that size wheel with a 45mm offset ?? ... not sure yet what tire size to go with, i'm thinking like a 275/40-18 ??? For the front anyways, the rear i'm going to send off to Weld Craft and have them widen the rear rims, which is another decision i have to make as just how wide and what tire ... i'm thinking 10.5 maybe with a 295/35-18 tire ?? Or should i make them both bigger ?? 18x11 with a 315 or 335 series tire ??

I'm in the same boat with the same car. I've always wanted RPM 505 wheels and I've looked everywhere for something close to them and the TSW's above are about as close as it gets. I'm not a fan of straight 5 spokes but I swing back and forth between a newer design of the split 5 spokes like a C7 Spyder wheel or something like the TSW's. I'm interested to see if anyone else has some good input.

If you really want some RPM 505's, try posting a "parts wanted" thread in the classifieds. You never know, someone may be willing to sell theirs for something new.

... to me the MRR wheel is the closest to the RPM 505 except the bolts, but it is a very similar style for sure, and they are very nice to talk to, flexible to say the least ...

MRR or TSW really in that style. I think either will look great on a WS6 because of the distinctive beautiful lines of the car. Especially with the deep dish lip.
Wonder how a staggered 18-19 would look
