It's come down to going with the staggered ZR1s or VN515 TORQ THRUST II 1 PC with 275s all the way around on a 17x9.5 .... or just stick with what I have and just get tires. I don't like the looks of the toyos. I'm reading a lot of negativity regarding those tires in the rain. The second option would be with the G-Force comp-2 a/s which is what I've used the last few go arounds and I really like that tire. It'll also cost me around 4 or 5 bills more going that route.

I love your thought Process --> the stickier the Tire, regardless of Rain, the better adhesion you will Obtain. So how much grip are you Willing to go for, this is the answer.

If you're going to be driving in the rain often, I wouldn't suggest the Toyo's... or even anything wider than the original 275's. Only reason I run them is the insane mechanical grip I can get out of them when they warm up, they work great for the occasional autocross/canyon run/weekend cruiser.

Also aesthetically speaking, I think that a set of meaty tires in the front looks a lot better than say, skinnies, but that's just me

Being that it's my daily driver, it's important that my tires don't hydroplane like these tires that I once had years ago. I was simply trying to change lanes on the highway and wound up doing a 180.

I find it interesting that when you have a Larger tire it doesn't automatically implement more grip, in the Rain - how's this good to go narrower and just avoid Puddles, when we're talking about Coefficient of friction correllary area.

.... and guess what happens when you introduce more surface area to that aforementioned rolling resistance?

Idk. J/k lol
The answer is Obvious, loss of control. This equates to the Example of larger wheels, on larger skates...much Faster you go.

Well just about the time that I think I've made up my mind it looks like I can get the best of both worlds! I am seeing the Thrust II VN505 in a 17x11 with 44mm offset. Not sure what the difference is with the VN515 but I am leaning towards doing those with 315s in the back.

Just to Clarify - talking about the lack of contact patch, theoretically, this is why hydroplane.
