Default Change rear studs without pulling axle?

Running into a snag here. I searched through the forum and see multiple posts about pulling an ABS sensor screw out in order to change studs on the rear without pulling the axle. Had my car on a lift at an LS specialist today and we didn't see a screw that could be removed to enable this, and he seemed to think the only way to insert longer studs would be to pull the axle. I have a 2001 WS6 without traction control. Need longer studs to add 20mm spacers to match the front (had to use them to get clearance on the Brembo retrofit), the other alternate is to use bolt on adapter spacers that have their own studs. I'd prefer to change to longer studs than to use a bolt on style adapter spacer so if I am missing something here on how to add longer studs to the rear without pulling the axle, I'd be grateful!

Why would you prefer to use longer studs to accommodate spacers? That doesn’t really make sense. The longer the studs, the easier they can twist. Use bolt on adapters. If you’re thinking about how racetracks require longer studs, that’s simply for thread engagement and is totally unrelated to your scenario.

Ah nevermind, you have a three channel rear. You'll need to pull the axles. The guidance you're getting for pushing the stud through the sensor hole is for 4 channel cars (aka with traction control). ABS/TCS (ASR for the Camaro guys) have a sensor and abs ring at each wheel.

Honestly, not a big hassle. Just remove the cover, push axles in, remove the c-clips, and pull the axles out. Since you don't have reluctor rings on the axles, you won't have any reluctor rings to press off.
