New To Drag Radials...What Tire Pressure To Start With?
Hello All...
For years I've run 28x10.5x15 M/T drag slicks on the back of my 1993 Mustang notch back. I know drag radials are ultimately quicker when set up correctly (or at least Cleetus McFarland says so...) so I've ordered a set. My cars race weight is 3190 pounds including driver. Below is a link to the drag radials I purchased. My question is what do you think a good tire pressure will be to start with? Any thing else I need to consider suspension wise? It's set up with a 9" rear end, Menscer coil over conversion with a TeamZ anti-roll bar. Also has UPR upper & lower control arms & 35 spline axles. Thanks in advance for your input!

on my drag radials and my brothers we run below 20 . otherwise they dont wear evenly . Last year i drove a bunch and 18 to 19 was a good spot . I notice the barely uneven wear and im running 17 now and it feels loose when cold but it spins and goes straight .

When I was on drag slicks I could take the car all the way up on the stall converter (5900 RPM with powerglide) and then dump the transbrake. I know the drag radials are good but that instantaneous dump has me a bit nervous. I'm guessing there is no other way to do it though. I'll find out....
