Widening wheels questions and inputs

With the new motor, I need wider tires. I am thinking 345s (yes, mini tub).

I have a pair of stock offset 17" American Racing Torq Thrust II wheels that I am planning on having widened to 12-13" and Toyo Proxes 345/40r17 tires.

What is the best company for widening?

There used to be a couple in my town(Portland OR) ,, insurance cost killed both of them..
Only way I've been able to get them is to order Welds.. ($$$)

I don't think you have your car driving yet, do you?

You won't need to mini tub. Just need really good rubber and really good shocks.
If you want to mini tub that's a different story.

It runs and drives, but a new engine is in the works.

I already have the mini-tub kit. Mini-tub, roll bar and coil overs are going in along with the engine.

I might use my 17x11 Torq Thrust wheels as donors for the widening. That might lower the cost enough to negate selling them.

I think I am going with Weldcraft. I think that the 345/40r17 tires are going to give me better traction than 345/35r18 or 355/30r19 and it will be cheaper than having to buy 4 wheels. Plus, I think that 19" rear wheels would look weird on an F-Body.

Hopefully, widened stock offset wheels will work with 345/40r17 and a Wolfe mini-tub.
