What is this part rubbing against inner rim 02 trans am. Damage from curb check.

I might be wrong but it looks like your bump stop. Is your rear centered? Might have shifted over and bent your pan hard bar.

That's awful close there. Is the rear end centered properly and are these factory wheels or ones with the correct back spacing?

well… it was. I had a driver side rear tire blow out midshift and curb checked the car pretty hard. Ended up replacing all four tires since they were bald anyway The tires are not stock, rears are goodyear 275/40R18 with a 27.7” diameter and are 10.8 inches wide. Originals in the rear were same size just 10.9 wide with a 26.6 inch diameter. Driver side is fine. so thinking the rear end needs to be re-aligned. It is getting hauled to the garage Thursday for service drivable, but not for the above reason of course. Has a nasty “old bed frame sound” when pushing down on the rear fenders in a bounce test.
