I've been eyeing these for a while. Best looking wheel you could put on a an F-body imo. Did you notice a difference in feel over a 17" setup?

The lower sidewall in the rear was the biggest difference I noticed. It rides a little rougher is all but not that bad. I could switch and go with a 35 after this if I want. Have to wait and see.

Congrats on those rims. They look absolutely killer with the SOM!

I too have a SOM WS6 which I’m babying to high heaven. Before I pull the trigger on the S71’s 18’s, do you have any advice looking back on your tire size, spacing, etc?

Thanks

None what so ever dude! I wouldn't change anything about the wheels or tires. Go to my Instagram @ws6_3392 to see more pictures. Send me one of yours too.

What sizes and offsets did you get?

I am thinking of going with 19x11 on the rear and 19x9.5 on the front for my 99 Z28. I am alittle concerned if the offsets will clear my CTS-V Brembo's.

The 19x11 has a 70mm offset though. Will that fit in the rear wheel hub without modification?

They are 18x10 high pad +41mm front, 18x11 medium pad +43 rear. I don't know if those will fit.

Do you think that the +41mm offset on the front will clear my CTS-V Brembo's?

Also what tire sizes did you go with?

Hate to be a copy cat but unfortunately with work I don't really have alot of free time to do my own research and need to get my car back in one piece asap.

I think you will be fine with them. I am getting ready to put Baer big brake kit on. They are 13" Front Pro+ brakes for the front, and 13" SS4+ brakes for the rear. I put Falken Azenis RT660 285/30 ZR18 front, and Falken Azenis RT660 315/30 ZR18 rear.

I like the S77 as well. I went back and forth on them. Send pictures when you get them mounted.

I noticed that the difference in front/rear tire diameter in that combo is pretty close to 3%. Have you had any problems with the ABS?

Also what happens if I go 9" on the front and 11" on the rear? Will that cause any problems in terms of handling?

I have never had an issue. I don't think you would have any problems, but why wouldn't you go a head and run a 10 inch on the front?

I ended up ordering a set of S-71s for my SS in November because of this T/A. He should get a percentage of sales from Weld! The wheels are like jewelry but maybe just as delicate. I highly recommend a quality ceramic coating.

Thank you! I did get them ceramic coated before I mounted my tires. So much easier to clean not just the outside but inside as well.

When I got my wheels back from the detail shop I thought they didn't coat them because they didn't feel anywhere as smooth as the wheels I coated for wifey's car. But while putting on a new rear brake line someone forgot to tighten it the whole way and coated the inside of wheel Happy to say the ceramic coating did it's job!

Looks amazing! Are you lowered? What's the ride like being staggered? After seeing those pics, I'm wanting a set as I'm replacing my stockers soon.

Yes it is lowered, and I have had it staggered for as long as I have had it. Not just with these wheels. I can't tell any difference to be honest with you.
