Default red lugnuts

Has anyone used aftrmerket red lugnuts and are they durable? WHich brand is he best i read somewhere that some cheap aftermarket were not a 1 piece design and the inner thread insert sperated from the lug wrench part. Other then that what lug nuts does everyone use the standard guerilla black acorn lugnuts? I dont need a special lug nut design or tool or locking key as im not worried about the wheels getting stolen.

You might be disappointed, I'm not sure the color lasts very long.

Yes thats what i read on alot of the reviews.

So how about the standard acorn closed end black guerilla lugnuts that are 19mm or 3/4? Does the black metal stay on those i heard guerilla was a good brand.

So there arent any red lugnuts offered that are durable and will keep the paint finish on them? I guess if i get a set it will be the black guerilla 12x1.50 35$ lugnut set. I have black wheels and was wanting a lugnut set that either stood out with the car matching red or black i think would work.

I would think red anodized would hold up pretty well, but they won't match the red of your car. I have found any cheap black lug nut seems to work pretty well as long as you don't use an impact on them frequently and you don't have to worry about road salt.

Are you talking the thin kind that use the tool with uou round type lugnuts I seen some alumninum that were 2 piece design not one piece and pulled out the metal thread insert and some aluminum snapped lugnuts in half when reading. i guess standard black guerilla lugnuts are best option.

The ones I was referring to aren't actually anodized, they look anodized, they are actually red chromed steel. Gorilla sells some. Again I wouldn't do it, but they are a non-matching red.

Appears to be torch red it was originally arctic white but repainted torch red compard to other torch red corvettes ive seen. Im in the process of putting black c7 z06 wheels upfront and if they appear nice 18x10.5 in the rear.

Seems like there isn't anything really great out there. After looking at several different manufacturers and reading a bunch of reviews on Amazon, I got the gunmetal ones below.

Yeah those red ones are nice are they just standard 19mm or 3/4" lug tool? Dorman 711-335E thanks im stressing as well throwing away 40$ on lugnuts that wont match thats more of an arbys sauce red not sure if red as the car but they make look good offset colors. Would black guerilla look better and does anyone have red lugnuts on there car? Ive got a brand new set of c7 z06 satin black oe replica wheels for upfront and plan to get some rears at a later time 18x10.5 after i see what the front ones look like on the vehicle. I really like the look of the gunmetal wheel option vs satin black but im already going the black/red car look.

I wonder on a red color scale what those dorman red lugnuts paint match would be. I see they got lock im not to stressed about someone steeling the wheels and make it tough when at a tire store but if i always keep the key.
M12x1.50 is correct for our cars 99 corvette at parts geek it says eclipse. This is the reason for looking into better looking lugnuts if the red is close to the car paint i think they will look good im not sure if i should get red valve stem caps as well.

Thought id report back heres what they look like im awaiting one front wheel replacement as one was shipped with a nick in the clearcoating from oe wheels. I had ordered 2 18x8.5 c7 z06 wheels black satin from jegs when they arrived only one did and it had curb rash hammered out of the box and the surface finish was badly scuffed all over the wheel. They had fedex return the wheel and drop shipped a set directly from oe wheels which comes in way better packaging and an oe wheels box vs the plain brown box with no packaging but one wheel had a clearcoat nick in it. I was worried about rain or water when washing the car getting under the clearcoat layer and spreading. So jegs is sending me another one from their warehouse again im nervous as it comes in a plain brown box not packaged as well as oe wheels directly but is same part numbers on the box and doesnt have the box pick up handles so it isnt tossed around. If the wheel arrives damaged again or any finish issues they said to contact them again for a replacement and possibly a drop shipment from oe wheels which provides better packaging. When i talked to oe wheels about this they said since i went thru jegs thats who i had to contact. Really nervous about getting a damaged or not NEW looking wheel as i payed for 230$ each. Its been 2-3 weeks in delayed front wheel tire replacement. Going to wait till i have both good wheels before ordering the correct tire size as the wheels have a 90 day return policy as long as no tires mounted. I like the look of the wheels.

I read that the dorman red paint wheres off easily and on parts geek it says the lugnuts or easily paintable. Any other red lugnuts that are solid and wont loose their color when being used or fade after couple months. The only ones ive seen last are the chrome ones that all use the lug ket. I think the correct color red would match great if i could find a good lugnut set. What i dont want is the 2 piece lugnuts that are advertised as one piece with the thread inserts that leave the lug area.

Does Guerilla manufacturer a red lug nut and are their any with a lifetime warranty? Im also looking to add fender accent stripes possibly and window tint. I need to put a protective headlight lense restorer coat on that leaves the glossy clear finish. Someone told me to Use expensive spray paint gloss clearcoat but i dont went to have to remove headlights again to remove a bad clearcoat.
