I recently purchased a square setup from Forgestar of F14 for my 2000 Firehawk. The rep on the phone said that 18x9.5 with 50 offset would work on all 4 corners. I ordered 275/35/18 Nitto N555s all the way around. The car also has Eibach pro kit on it as well. Will this setup work without any issue? Please if anyone could give me any experience with this setup. Thank you all for the time and help.
I have used 17x9.5" wheels with offsets ranging from +46mm to +56mm, all with 275/40/17 tires, and they have fit just fine. That would be nearly an identical tire height and width as using 275/35/18 on an 18x9.5", so I see no issues with a +50mm offset. Wheel diameter (17" vs. 18") doesn't really matter for offset fitment comparison (in terms of wheel well fitment), just tire height and wheel/tire width. Full disclosure though, I did all this with stock springs/ride height.
Frankly, I think it will look nice with that offset. I feel that the +46mm was just a touch too much for the front on a 9.5" wide wheel (at least for my taste), but the +56mm wasn't quite enough. The stock 17x9" wheels had a +50mm offset, but were obviously 0.50" narrower. With a 9.5" wide version, I think that +50mm would be perfect up front. Could go more aggressive in the rear for sure, but if you want it square (for rotation or whatever) then I understand.
IMO, what looked best of all the setups I've had (in terms of rear fitment) was 9.5" wide, +46mm offset, 285mm wide tires. That put the tire flush with the top of the wheel opening in the rear, but this was for a Camaro (I think the Pontiac body is just a touch wider, so that might need to be taken into consideration). Here is a picture of mine with that setup (fronts are the same +46mm, 9.5" wide but with a 275mm tire - which looked good at certain an angles but honestly would have looked better at +50mm IMO):
