Default F14's - 295/35's on 18x10's

Here are some test photos. I'll post more once mounted. This will be a square set up. Tires are Toyo T1 Sports.

These are a lot wider than the 295's I had on my 9.5's.

Thoughts?

****EDIT ------ Finally got them mounted and cleaned for some photos.......see posts below

Looks great.

What brand 295/35's did you have before. Sizes vary by brand.

The old 295's were Kuhmos ecsta mx's or something. They were on a 9.5" wheel and only measured 11" wide. These Toyos are about 12" wide.

Those will likely rub on the front inner fender at that width. 26.12" tall takes up a lot of front wheel well. Good luck.

Are you running 18x10 for all 4? what were the specs on the wheels? any issues with that size? I'm about to buy a set of 18x10 F14 and have been trying to figure out specs for the wheel

Yeah I'm not too concerned with the plastic liner

That big of a tire on the front of an f-body might look good but that's going to be work to move them with the stock power steering pump.

Not anymore than the vast amount of people running 18X10.5 wheels and running Hoosier slicks...

Street driving you won't see any issues.

I suppose so. Not the most familiar with auto x and such, but from what I've seen on here, most use a tire with tread on all 4 corners. But i've been wrong plenty of times before

Majority of people in autocross with these cars are running 18x10.5 (or larger) wheels with 315/30/18 (or larger) slicks or 200TW "street tires".

I use a weaker pump than stock and use nothing smaller than a 295 on the front, typically 315s though, but I only use 25.6" or smaller diameter. Why I commented above it will likely rip the inner fender up if not out in a hard corner. 315s and 25.6" tall, and I am not as low as most lowering springs, as I have coil overs. https://1drv.ms/i/s!AiGN7xzHDq5vhEhVSDvrHZLNmmCB

Rampant - where is it going to hit? or as you said rip it out?

I've had a 26" tall tire up front prior to this and it never made contact, granted it was 1" narrower.

.
Front and rear of the opening about 4-6" in. Happens when near full lock when you have good grip and pushing it. I had 550lb springs and a 36mm front sway bar. This happened with both a 315/35 17 on a 10.5" rim, as well as 255/45/ 17 I had at one point as a staggered set up. If you wear through the inner fender the tire can grab it and pull it out. Almost nothing holding them in.

Let it be known that just because something "fits" and does not hit something sitting statically in your driveway and or sitting static at full turn does not mean it won't be an issue.

I have seen my 315/30/18 tires deflect up to 1/2" when in hard cornering. When checking clearances I shoot for 3/4" or more.

For street driving...you may never see issues. Some claim 335's "fit" in the back with minimal mods...take a turn fast and you will be real sorry lol.

Here is the 295 on the front. Not sure if I should drop to a 285 ?

With that soft of a spring you will stuff that tire in the fender. I had 550/150 and 315's and I would rub the fender. With a 26.25" fender to ground front ride height and 850/250 springs I can still slightly kiss the tire to fender. Next up is trying 900+/300+ springs. ORRRR have the shock compression re-valved.

Never stuffed in the fender at all with lots of laps and autocross runs too. The 550.150 was one of Sam Strano's set up from the 2005. I have 800/275s now, but vids below are all the 550/150s. I do not have the car stupid low either. I guess my car is special.
Staggered 275 315s, but pics above are 315s all corners on the same shocks and springs. Koni SAs and a Ground Control kit for height adjustability/corner weighting.

I have more camber now. Around -2.6. Above was maybe -1.5 with my Global West uppers.
