Default New Cosmis XT005R

So as many probably already know Cosmis has started making the XT005R again in Fbody sizes. I haven’t seen any pictures of these new offsets on a car yet, so thought I’d share what I have for those interested. I do not have rubber yet, but put the rims on the car to checkout fitment. Hopefully the pictures help someone with their decision.

The fronts are the 18x9 +30 and rears are 18x10 +38

First impressions - quick shipping, packed nice. Rims seem light at 21lbs. Finishes are nice.
and at the price I’m not going to cringe when I go over a bump like other brands!

I opted to buy their hub centric rings, fit well.

of note - make sure you order valve stems, rims do not come with. Also the space for the lug nut is narrow, thin profile socket suggested. I used stock lugs for testing and it works, just tight.

Can't wait to see a pic with a tire and on the ground. Are you lowered?

I’m not lowered yet, plan is to lower it and lose some wheel well gap. Car was setup for drag racing and slowly changing it over to a cruiser. Just don’t want to give up all traction.

Have to decide on rubber and then I can get some better pictures.

Does the lip to the first step measure the same between the 9" and 10" wheel?

I’ve been leaning towards r888r tires, the sizing I was thinking was 275/35/18 and 305/35/18?

the rear rim is only 10” so I think a 315 may have to much tire “bulge”

as far as the lip I believe they are damn near identical. I will take a look for you in the next day or two when I get some time at home

Default Rear hub and center cap

Those are looking nice! Any issues with fitment over the rear hub making contact with the center cap? I've read that was an issue with older version of these wheels.

Hey Steve -

when I test fit them I didn’t notice that at all? Once I get rubber on I will pay closer attention to that

I do have a moser 12bolt - I don’t see why that would change anything though

Here's a curveball and probably not something ppl would do. Since I have a pair of the new 18x9's (+30mm offset), I mounted a pair of Mickey Thompson S/S DRs on them 275/45/18's. They rubbed, so I added my spring isolators back on the car. Haven't tested that out yet.

I emailed them in mid-February asking about getting a set in brushed silver and was told that they will not be running other colors until later this year.

Nikon, do you have any pictures of the setup yet? Looking to get these wheels and just wanted to see the final thing and what you though of the fitment. Thanks!
