Default Wandering 4th Gen Camaro

Hello everyone, I’m fairly new here. I have a 2000 z28 convertible. I put new zr1 replica wheels and 275/40r17 tires. Why is it wandering since that size tire came factory on the SS model. What can I do to help it.
Thank you,
Ken

Tramlining is fairly common on these cars. What are the alignment specs currently, what tire pressures are you running, how are the wear items (tie rods, bushings, end links)?

Thanks I will check it out again.. I did notice when I was under the car, Oem rubber sway bar bushings looked cracked. I’ll do endings also. I’ve had it aligned a couple of times.

My Formula has always wanted to follow pavement "ruts" when I've ran wide tires up front. For the short time I ran a drag pack on it, that problem was cured. Even if your alignment is perfect, it's just how these cars drive.

All of my 4th gen Z28s came with 245/50/16 tires up front, on a 16x8" wheel, and this issue was nearly non-existent with that tire size. Then, as I switched each car to 17x9 or 17x9.5" wheels and 275/40/17 tires, all of them would present this same issue (especially when approaching busy intersections with sunken pavement due to vehicles sitting for long periods at red lights).

FWIW, I bought my '00 WS6 brand new, which came with the 17x9s + 275/40/17 tires stock, and it behaved this way from new.
