Tread/Wheel Size Needed?

Tread/Wheel Size Needed? Hi guys. Can someone tell me what the biggest wheels and tires that will fit my 96 Trans Am. I'm thinking on 275x40-17s front and 315x35-17s (Or 305x35-18s). I am about to install a set of Air-Shocks in the rear also. Thanks.

I really don't want to go larger than an 18", even that if I have to. I'm ole' school i still like to see abit of rubber on the ground between the rim and street. Thanks for your input.

I have seen guys fitting 315 wide tires on all 4 corners of their cars, front has more room than the rear. I'm running 295/35 on 18x10.5 wheels with minimal clearancing on the rear needed, but all depends on offset. 275/40/17 is the factory SS and WS6 tire size so they will fit no problem
