Default z06 wheel fit problem

I purchased some z06 wheels off of evil-bay. Anyway, last night I attempt to put the rear wheel on, 18x10.5. It looks cool, but I can't get the wheel to move all the way to the rotor. It's like the wheel hole is smaller than hub by about .050-0.100 inch on the diameter. I don't think just cleaning the surfaces will allow the wheel to position 100% against the rotor. Anyone else have this problem? BTW, I tried the 17x9.5 wheel on the back too.

above wheel will not go back against the rotor flush.

had had a similar problem with my y2k wheels.but it was only 1 wheel that was doing it.i was able to just run it tight with the lug nuts.i used 3 lugs and just kept alternating the lug that i was tighting until thw wheel sat where it needed.then backed all the lugs off and re-torqued them.it made it a pain in the a$$ to get the wheel off later though.
good luck.

You putting those wheels on a LT1 car, kinda looks like it in the pics.I thought I heard the newer LS1 fbodies and C5 wheels don't fit over the hub on a LT1 car because of the center of the wheel being smaller?
Anyone confirm that?

Your right same thing happened to me.

Just get a dremel or other grinding tool and ream out the hole on the wheels a little bit until it fits. That's what everyone does

Yup. The LT-1 hubs are just a tad bigger for some reason . . . .

Yes had the same problem with my old lt1, I just had to carefully take a few thousands off of the inside diameter of the wheel. Don't try to pull it on with the lugs you will trash the studs and then you won' be able to get the wheel back off after you pull it on. I learned from experience.

Yep, it's a 96 Z28 with a LT-1 engine. Thanks for the replies. I tried the front wheels and they fit on the front.
I bought the wheels off of Evil-bay, I'm not really pleased and I'm trying to return them. If I end up keeping these, I'll try the dremel trick.

You are only working on aluminum, so my best guess would be a sanding drum. You do not need to take alot off . . .

Thanks for searching!
