What To Do?

I just purchased my first F-body. It is a 99z28M6 it has 60k on it and is champagne. So far this is the best forum i have seen! The only mods are some flowmasters, they dont sound to good though.

My question is i have the stock Z28 rims (5 spoke,16 inch)and they are chromed. I want knew wheels but they are too expensive. So i was wondering what i could do with my current wheels. How much is powdercoating? How do you prep chrome so you spray paint the wheels flat black, if even possible. I want to black out whatever possible. (taillights,tailight surround,Billet grille,headlights,tint)

I'm no expert, but if I were you, I would try to sell those wheels and buy a set (maybe used) of whatever you want. I wouldn't go through the hassle of doing that to your chrome wheels.

Chrome looks better than black anyway

I'd check out ebay, that's the cheapest place to buy rims. By the way Z06 rims look pretty good on camaros.

what those two guys said. Dont waste your time or money trying to deal with your rims. Save and get something else. Wont take too long and it will be worth it.

I saw some Grandsports WITh tires for 700.00 somewhere. Those would look goos against "champagne."

Pewter maybe?

I'd say sell your stock ones. They might look good to you now, but once you start seeing other aftermarket 17'' wheels, you'll start to not like your 16s so much. (Happened to me
