Default What size tires?

I have 17x10 smoothies coming, and was wondering what size tires do you guys think would be the best (looking, and safest) to put on the front and the back? I also have an Eiback Prokit on there, so it is lowered a bit. And I don't want to have to do any hammering or anything like that. Thanks.

275/40's are fine for 10" wide wheels. I'm running them in the front on my car w/ 17x9.5" wheels and the tires are Kumho Ecsta Supra, which are great tires, btw.

For the best look in the back, though, I'd go with 315/35's (especially 315 Nitto DR's b/c they tend to run narrower than most other manufacturers). They'll fit good too and won't require major body modifications to fit. I've got the Eibach prokit on my car w/ 17x11's with 315's and cut and tucked the fenders and it looks completely stock from the outside. You can't even tell I've modified the body.

Nitto is a good tire for your choice. Any decent tire for the front will do. A stiff sidewall is prefered

I'm getting the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's all the way around. So you think 275/40's are good for the front, what about the back? I don't think a 315 is gonna fit in the back....especially since it is lowered! 285's? 295's? 305's?

275's will fit like a glove on the fronts. They'll do the same on the backs too. But IMO I'd go w/ 315's for the rears. They will fit on 10" wide rims. For point of reference, people have successfully run 315's on 9" wide rims without problems.

315's will give your car a mean look. Here are my 315's:

Yes they will fit, my car is lowered with your same lowering springs but with worn shocks so it's probably lower than yours. Next size down? I think 275. Search on tirerack.com or tires.com. I've never heard of anyone running 305 or 295 17" tires.
