Perfect width, but I'd run a 35 series. 40 is too tall IMHO.

yea, but that'll make it 25.6 inches tall, and the 40 will make it 26.7..... right? (im new to this, i just got the formulas...)

i know i want atleast a 26" tall tire... and i figured that a thicker sidewall would ride better and give a little more protection to my rims in the case of a unforseen pothole..

is that right? or am i wrong and it would just look goofy?

I have 285-35-18 out back! Fits great! here's a pic but you can't see the rear that good.

275 will be fine, if you want a softer ride go with the 40, but the 35 would look better.

275/40 is factory C5 run on a 18x9.5.

On a F-body I would go 275/35 or 285/35
