If they're not clearcoated, just get some good, non-abrasive polish, like Eagle One or Mother's, and use a very soft towel or rag to polish them. When you get them to where you really want them, get some Zoop Seal and seal those puppies. I guess you could always have them clearcoated too.

Your Y2K wheels are clearcoated, so I would recommend a good paint polish.
Wash, clay, polish, protect.
FWIW, Mother's IS an abrasive metal polish and shouldn't be used on anything clearcoated.

I'll second the Mother's polish on nonclearcoated rims. Haven't had a chance to use it on my wheels, but I tried it out on my grandfather's 10 year old knife and it looked like a brand new knife when I got done with it.

Claybars are rubbed over the surface of the paint (or wheel, in this case) to pick up any dirt that has lodged its way into the finish. This is particularly useful on wheels, to remove brake dust.

I didn't realize Mother's was abrasive. It sure didn't seem to be when I used it.
