need traction help

need traction help im installed a ss 3600 in my 99 ss and want to know what tires to put on when i go to the track. i am using a 16 inch rim from a t/a for the track. somthing that will hook good and hpefully not blow up my 10 bolt. please help me out i have never used anything other that street tires

you could try nitto`s. they hook good and if u dont heat them up a lot they wont hook as good so you can save your ten bolt but u should be alright if your not making a whole lot of power
