so you are looking to save some money with a ever so slightly narrow tire? just throw on some khumos or other knock offs. it will look like total **** with a 225 on a 9" front wheel as well as being dangerous.
it wont make a lick of difference in rolling resistence or ET.

I think you can put a 245/45/17 (I assume you have 17's) on a 9" rim, but I don't know for sure.

I have thought of doing this too on my stock 9" WS6 wheels. The 275 GSD3's rub in the front and are a lot wider than stock (heavier too), so I was thinking about changing to a 245ish front set of tires (staying with GSD3's). Also, I'm trying to find an answer, but with the heavier tires in the front, it seems like I have lower gas mileage than I had stock. Is this possible? I would think that it makes sense, because the tire is bigger and heavier, so it takes more to turn it. Thoughts?
