okay, so fuzion vs. wide-oval

fuzion wins? I want one that is going to be somewhat sticky. My car is stock, so I want a nice looking tire, one that will hook up fairly well, but still beable to break it loose when i want too

For a stock car I would go with the Fuzions, I am running them on the rear right now, I can spin them but not nearly as easily as I spun the BFG KDWs. For the price on a stock street car they are great.

see, I would have figured the BFG KDW's would have not spun as easily. Those were the tires I was going to get, but I'm short on cash this time around. I mean, if the tires are only going to last less than 20k miles most likely, then I don't need the expensive tires right yet until I get some more power.....am i right?

Wide Ovals are quite sticky, but they hopped like a bitch when I put them on my car (295/35/18's). I have no first hand experience with the ZRI's, but it seems like everyone likes them.

Go with what your wallet likes bro.

Tire rack has the tires for $113 plus shipping. I might not put the tires on until the end of summer, but should I buy them now? Are the prices expected to go up? (b/c of gas etc etc etc)

What are the chances tire rack will have a sale on those tires anytime soon?

I'm just wondering if I should order them now and let them sit in my garage until I need them

Does anybody have these? What are they like? I could use all the info.

Granted, I know BFG's are great, but they are also pretty pricey.
west coast customs has them.

lol, for all the pimp my ride fans out there.

My wallet liked them, so I bought them.

I really didn't know what to expect, but I wish they hooked a bit better. I can pretty much spin them at will when I get on it up to about 30 mph. At that speed, I can punch it and throw the whole car a foot sideways when it downshifts. My tires only have maybe 3k miles on them. I've never done a burnout or donut with them and I don't drive very aggressively at all. And my car also isn't a monster or anything, just a 2000 Z28 with an A4 and 2.73s! It put about 340 rwhp and 345 rwtq, which isn't high, so I'd expect these things to grab better for a 2.73-geared A4 car.

Maybe I'm expecting too much, I don't know.

Other than that, I like them.

what psi are u running your rears at, i found with them at 35-40 traction is bad. then i tried rears at 25-30 and grabs a lot better now. no other tire for the money really comes close so its hard to argue.

I have had the Fuzions on for about 10,000 miles on the rear and they have been pretty good so far. I bought them because of the price and am very happy with them so far. I can break them loose much easier now since they are wearing a little thin.. (i am a pretty aggressive driver).. For for the pirce you cant beat the tire..

I have posted a 1.9 60' with these on a basically stock 99 z28 m6

If I had some extra cash i would look into the nitto 555 drag radials or bfg drags.. but I am tight for cash so i think its fuzions again.. Best bang for the buck!!

oh yeah forgot to mention that they are great in the rain!! better than the Michelin Harmony's on the Olds!!

ressurection, but i got a pair today for my front rims. they were like 140 at a local place and they quoted me like 220 for a bridgestone tire the same size and very close to the same stats. they don't make them wide enough for when i get rims in the back though(17/11). some call it a ricer tire cause its cheap but im not argueing.

The Tiresplus (Firestone) guy told me that the Fuzion ZRi is replacing the Dayton Z rated tires. I had the Dayton Z's on my 02 gt and loved them.

I am buying the ZRi's this week, 275-40/17's for $ 120/pc plus the normal BS at Tiresplus.

If you have a Tiresplus or Firestone, should be able to get them for $ 120/pc for the 274-40/17's, that what they both quoted me. (plus mounting, balancing, etc.)

I like mine. Other than the fact that the outside on the 2 fronts wore because I waited 3 weeks to get it aligned

I like mine alot (245/50/16) They don't hook great in a straight line, but they have awesome lateral traction. They ride really nice on the highway with almost no noise. (Not that I could hear them over the gear whine and True Duals ) I keep them at 33 psi on the street, and have had no wear issues for the two months I've had them. Everything is wearing smoothly and evenly. They do make some nice black streaks on the pavement when you nail it though.

I got 4 for $450 mounted and balanced at the local Firestone. Can't beat them for the money.

I had (4) 275-40/17's ZRi put on this evening. Paid $ 602 (at Tiresplus) including alignment, balancing, tax, etc. Like the look of the tread pattern.

Drove home in the pouring rain and can confidently say they handle very well in wet conditions.

Tomorrow morning I see how they do dry

Couple of photo's
