Default Tire Pressure

I never take my car to the track but I have a Vericom and want to check the performance. I have nitto's and want to know what pressure would be good for a run. I'll be doing it on an empty stretch of road not at the track. I've been running about 30 psi just for daily driving.

After running most of my last set of nittos @ 25-27 PSI, I can tell you they grip quite a bit better and wear more evenly (so far) at 22 psi.

Lower the the pressure, both for daily driving and launching. Right now I am running 25 psi hot (daily) and may go lower.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll try 25 psi and see how they grab.

Do you have M/T ET streets or ET drags? Either way 28 is way, way too hihg. That is too high for your average drag radial even. I have a pair of ET streets and have had moderate success (only three outings) starting off at ~16 psi hot and working my way down. Don't usually have to go very far. Start high, take air out until your 60' does not get better, then put them back up to the highest point where your 60' was about as good as it got. What tranny? What cam?

Edit: Oh yeah, next time try not to steal somebody elses thread. Actually, I suggest starting your own. Do'nt want to keep going off topic.
