Default M/T question

The only mods I have done to my car were on the engine, exhaust, and shifter (so far). The car is putting out around 350 hp. My question is if I get the MICKEY THOMPSON ET STREET DRAG RADIALS SIZE 255/50-16 will I end up screwing up my rear end or something else? I dont take the car to the track. I will race from time to time.

just go real easy on the launch. i'd have enough $$ for a new rear end sitting aroudn though b/c sooner or later you'll need it. with a 6speed its not hard to tear out a rear end reguardless of the tire but i'm sure those m/ts would do it even quicker. -Jim

I would definately consider saving for a rear, or at least taking it easy on the stocker for a while with sticky tires. Saw a guy with the MT's this weekend break the stock rear in an M6 car with a high launch around 4k or so.

Mines an automatic, but im running the 255/50/16's and I pull 1.6's at the track all the time, and run low 11's, rear end and transmission all stock. On the street, they will hook, but i doubt hard enough to really hurt anything with minor bolt ons.
