In my current quest for new rims, I noticed Sears sells them. I was looking thru the sunday paper today and noticed Sears has 17" chrome rims starting at $540 for a set. They look nice in the picture and have a good price. The brand is SSC, which I've never heard of. So far the cheapest place I've seen rims was Jeg's or Summit. Has anyone purchased rims thru Sears?
Thanks, Joe

Before you go spending your money on rims from sears why don't you find a used set of zr1's or vette wheels. I think you will be much happier in the long run, you may even save some money, check the for sale section or e-bay.

You can get MUCH nicer wheels for much cheaper, made of better materials, and look better than the ones at Sears. Besides, most of them are far too thin. Stick with the reputable companies and get a better wheel for cheaper.

Does anyone have those fake Walmart spinners on their hubs? I was thinking about getting some b/c they are tight. I'm gonna try and get them to fit over my zr-1's but I'm not sure if they will. I might have to make some sort of spacer. What do you guys think?

Do it, I saw them on an el camino and they were badass. Don't waste money on the shiny ones, just wrap the plain ones in tin foil and put them in the microwave for 3 min to heat shrink it on. It makes some sparks, but it'll be fine. You'll be the talk of the town.
