how many "mm" are in an inch????

how many milimeters are in 1 inch? i want to get some hp evo's 9 inch rears and get them widdened to 11" so that would add 2 inches to the backspacing. if the wheels have a 38mm backspacing now what would they have after an aditional 2 inches?

There are 25.4mm in an inch.

im not saying thats wrong but that means my z06 wheels have 2 (53mm)inches of backspacing

No, have 2 (53mm) inches of offset.

That's doubtful. If you lay a straightedge across the back of your wheel and measure down to the inner surface of the hub mounting pad, then you'll have your backspacing. You may be confusing offset with backspacing...?
