Best Drag racing tires.

Best Drag racing tires.
Ok, I am sure this has been asked before, but I would like some fresh opinions since something new might be out there. Please check the pole and if there is something else you like better then check other and then please post what the other is. Please keep in mind I would like to have tires that are DOT aproved, but if all the DOT aproved tires are junk and a waist of time, let me know that too. Thanks.
Maybe I should also state I want something that will work in the low 11's.

Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials are awesome! you wont have ANY problems hooking up with those tires! they dont have very long treadlife, but for a soft tire what else would you expect?

you'd better get some bogart wheels and some massive tires to hook a H/C and nitrous car.... my MT Dr's wont even hook my 4.10 yank SS4000e cam only setup...i ordered my bogarts yesterday... i plan to go heads and spray later also....
15'' rim with a 9.75'' width...
10.5 slick

The rear end is the next step on my mode list, after I finish the 408 (or if it gives up before then)
I think my sign is a little miss leading. I am not running the 408 at this time. I am still on the stock 346. I do not have the AFR Heads yet. They are for the 408. I did change cams two weekends ago. I just cam back from Texas Speed (whom I got my cam kit from) and had the car tuned and Dynoed. I do now have those results. So whith thats results I hope I can make a good geuss as to which tires to run (with ya'lls input). The car was pulling 302 RWHP (threw the big converter) at 5400 RPM. I now makes 371 RWHP at 6800 rpm. Almost 70 HP from a cam, not bad! On the Juice it use to make 450 peak RWHP at 4400 RPM (150 shot running 12.5 A/F). It now Starts at 450 RWHP at 4400 rpm, and climbs to 472 RWHP at 6800 rpm. Thats with it tunned to 11.5 A/F. This cam loves the juice.
So I am looking for tires that will hook this power on my 17" wheels, so I can quicken the 10 bolt death!

I will never understand why people buy different rims to put drag radials on? Is it because you are scared of breaking the rear? It makes no sense when you could have a et streets when your not going to be driving the car on the street with them.
My vote is for The Et streets.

anything wrinkle wall will hook off the line, radials are iffy. I'd go with 26" or 27" tall MT ET streets for the best traction and still be able to drive in town.
My car rides on 27" MT ET streets for cruising and then I have my street tires on my ugly spare rims in my garage, I'm happier that way.

How long are your ET Streets normally lasting?

The E/T Radial should do the trick no problem, I've cut mid 1.50s at street night with no real track prep. I would only plan on getting a few thousand miles out of them on the street. Mine just hit the wear bars after 1000 miles and about 15 passes. I spin the tires at about 110mph for 5 seconds in the burnout box though.

I'm looking into the 255/50R16 for my stock 16" wheels just sitting in my garage. Is this a wise chioce? So far, this forum and my local friends say the MT ET DR's seem the way to go. I was looking at the MT's or the Nitto's.
I'd only use my DRs on the strip, and most likely will swap from street to DRs once I'm already at the track. So tread life and street use don't apply to me.
