Arrow Please Look!!!....need oppinions

I am looking at a few different options on wheels and need some help. I have 2 options i've found for under $1000, wheels, tires, mounted balanced shipped, everything. One is on wheelmax, it's 17x9 with 275-40-17 tires, to my door-$924. The other is the Eagle 077 17x8, with 255-45-17 tires, can get locally for $990, for everything. I have seen the Eagles on a few cars on here, but I see them alot on Mustangs and that bothers me. The wheelmax wheels I have never seen in person, I LOVE the lip, but not too sure about the center, with all the holes, but for the price, I think I could live with it. Please give me your oppinions, good or bad, Thanks

I vote for the wheelmax. I'm right there with you about the center but the rest of the wheel is stellar. Also, you will be glad you have 275's. If you could get a bigger pic of 'em and put it on here That would be great.

I'm getting the gunmetal ones. The actual name of the brand is Sportmaxx, series 962. That $496 price is $84 cheaper than where I've previously found them.

Do you think the gunmetal would look better on my red Z than the Hyperlight? Oh yea and post up LOTS of pics when you get yours on. I really wanna see what these look like on an f-body. I thought I might be the guinee pig, but sounds like your gonna beat me to it.

I have'nt ever heard of wheelmax untill about a month ago and hav'nt ever heard anyone say anything about them, good or bad, so I just thought they were a little small opperation. I have to strongly agree with Troubledwine though, ANYTHING would be better than the stock wheels. I like the Eagle too, but still not totally sure about either one of them.

I don't know if it's the gold center, or the car, but i'm not real keen on that at all. Thanks for posting it up though. Do you know anywhere with pics of the hyperlights or gunmetal centers on cars?

Get the Gunmetal's from Wheel Max. My roomate has had two set's of those Eagle wheels one polished and one chrome. One set on a red 91 camaro in 18's, and the other on a black 95 Z28 vert. They looked good but. I would go with the other's. Just because I'm sure there lighter, no one else around here has them, and those eagle wheels are Saleen knock off's. You wouldn't want to put a Ford wheel on your car would you. I like the Wheelmax's just because they've got a good road racing performance look to them. Oh yeah and your going to need that extra inch of rubber to.

Thanks Troubledwine. Do you have any more pics of that car? Like from the side or anything? Different angles? If so I would REALLY apreciate it. I really don't like the BLACK wheel much, but the gunmetal might be ok, it's just hard to tell. Looks VERY black in that pic.

DUDE those do look great, thanks for posting that thread. I LOVE the way they come out to the fenders like that, I was wondering what they would look like with a 35 mm offset, but it looks great on his car. And the fact that it's red helps me alot too. I'm still not sure if I want the gunmetal or the Hyperlight, but I do like the look of the gunmetal with the red a WHOLE lot better than I thought I would. I think that those gunmetal ones would look awsome on a pewter or silver car espeically though. I am definatly leaning towards the Sportmax now, may even order this week, if I can just make a decision on color now.

I dont really like the wheelmax ones. I dont like the holes. I of course have the Eagle ones and there pretty good. They shine up nice. However I just ordered a new set of TT II's which I like MUCH better. My Eagle ones will be up for sale if your interested. Let me know!! There 17x8 and I have BFG G-Force TA's on em. 275/40/17 all round
