Default M/T drags and stock clutch?

I have a lid and cutout T/A with stock clutch and rearend. I got a great price on some Mickey Thompson drag radials in size 255/50/16 which will be in shortly. I know these are some VERY sticky tires and some people say the stock clutch wont handle it and Ill bog when launching. Id like to hear other peoples experiences with the same tires on a stock clutch/rear end.

If it helps I burned up my clutch on nittos with a Lid and Loudmouth. And I was only cutting 1.9 60fts Then I got a spec stage 3 clutch and broke the 10bolt . But now I have a 9" and a good clutch and now I cut 1.6 60fts

Ouch, thats my worst fear...

I can deal with upgrading the clutch, but dont have the $2,000+ for the rear end.

I would definitely hold off on the m/t's until you beef up the rear.
