NO, it was different than that page. it had more componites than that. wish i could link it but i'm a retard. i don't get it, the 4-link seems to be for drag racing. reading the info on his cardomain page, it's seems that he intinded the car for road racing or just really great cornering ability. and from the pics it seems to still be a straight axle rear. so i am lost and hope someone with the education of suspensions can clarify on this subject. can we get a sticky or move thread to the suspension

Forget trying to get any useful information out of this thread. I have talked to my body shop and performance shop...and they have both agreed to take on the project of mini tubbing the rear of my car. I will be running 19x10 CCW 505a's in the front and 19x13 CCW 505a's in the rear. The rear tires will be wrapped in 345-35-19 Bridgestone Potenza Re505a Scuderia tires. It will require some fabrication to the suspension obviously...but they both seem to be pretty optomisitic that it will turn out well. When i get it back, i will be sure to post all the information i can, since this thread has proven to be about as useful as a football bat.

Are you sure about that size? No tubs required for that...if you meant 345 then holy nose bleed those will be tall!

Curious because I've looked into this very subject recently. Wolfcraft does sell mini tubs for our cars but it's hard to justify the efforts required just to say I have a 'big tire' under the car. Cool factor is definately high, but.....

So, what's the widest wheel and tie we can fit on the rear? An 11" with a 315?

I just bought a 02 SS over the weekend and I would like to put some nice wheels and tires on it. Sorry if I said something stupid, but I know how people hate it when newbies create a new post asking a question that has been answered 1000's of times before so I have been trying to use the search button.

The 4-link is under "Welded rear frame packages continued". Click on 82-92 Camaro/Firebird. It will need to be trimmed if you're installing it in a 4th gen. This link might work.

Don't let the price of the parts fool you into thinking this will be an inexpensive project. S&W quoted me $7000 as an installed price. If anyone wants I can email you the directions so you can see exactly how much cutting and welding there is.

Unless you're going for 7 second timeslips or better I'd stick with a minitub.

HAah yeah Shane, just read the STICKEYS, @ the top of this fourm, in wheels and tires, it will answer allll of your questions man. Just feels like nobody reads the stickeys, or uses the search button.... . But Yes 11" out back is the prob the max width rim and a 315 tire, with the correct offset will set you with no or verry little fender mods. Many people have put on TT2's( 11's out back with a 315) with no fender mods @ all....

Hope that answered your question.

Slightly off the subject but may offer some help. I did 18x12s w 335/30s out back and last week lowered it with intrax -2" lowering springs. I haven't heard a tire rub as of yet. Point is; 335s on an 18x12 lowered 2" is doable without minitubs. Of course...BFH and rolled fenderlips. I can't offer any solid advice on the 19x13s w/345s.

I'd love to share some pics but I don't know how to post them on here. The rear offset was like some crazy 74mm or something and the guy I bought them from told me they would not work but I was determined to have 335s on a 12" rim out back no matter what so I took a big risk and it all work out this time.
