Default Possible slick ruining Bumper cover ques.

My buddy was using a 28X10.5X15 Hoosier on his Camaro, and he ended up burning the back plastic of the bumper cover off from the tire rubbing. I have a 28X11.5X15 ET Street that might go on my 00 SS and I don't want the same problem. I know the tire will expand about an inch at the track and want to keep the original plastic on the car.

My car is lowered, but I had my rear quarters custom flared. The actual fender above the wheel is pushed and smoothed out like the ZL1 that Jon Moss owns. My concern is where the back of the bumber cover is at the rear of the tire, after it wraps around the bumber and goes by the rear wheels.

I'm running a 28x10.5x15 on a 98Z and I have not had any issues. The only clearancing I did was with the BFH.

28x11.5x15 ET Street is narrower than a 28x10.5x15 slick. Shouldn't be too bad. You have to mount them, check, remove, BFH... Might take 2-3 tries.

I'll have to try it and see what happens.
