I have a set of HyperSilver on my C5 and a regular set ready for my WS6. Awesome five spoke design and the weight savings is noticeable.

Hey ZSS2148, they look great against your black Z. They appear to be 18" in front and rear. Let me know the tire sizes you used and if any spacers are used.

I hate to say this but stock 97-00 wheels are not magnesium. GM does offer a set of magnesium/alum (part no.12497217 & 12497218) wheels for a vette but be prepared to pay several thousand dollars for them. They list at $1,445.79 and $1,543.53 ...EACH. As much hype and talk regarding Z06 "magnesium" wheels, this is also a fallacy - they are aluminum.

ZSS2158 - your car looks great, what wheels are on it currently?

Those wheels were 18 rear and 17 front. They fit just like any other C5 wheel, you'll have to beat the inner well just a little. You'll be beating more if you use widder tires, I was using 295/35 18s. I thought I saw a set on here going for like 800.00 new or maybe it was camaroz28. Right now, the C6 Z06 wheels are on my car. Im looking to trade them though, for OE C5 Z06 wheels if anyone can help.

From what I've heard, some of the stock Y2K rims came in at about the same weight as the magnesium wheels-maybe the difference of a pound or so? In any case, a used set of the real magnesium rims recently went for under $600 on ebay. If they're in good shape, they are one of the better looking choices.
