grip of 555R's
It's my understanding that the 555R's are a dual compound design. When colder, they are harder, grip less, and allow the improved (less) wear (and thus mileage), but when heated, they are softer, grip more, and thus wear faster.

Are you judging that with your current mods because I dont see how a whole lot will grip with what you got. With a stock or a bolton car the 555r's work great on the street, mine do, they grip really well. I am going on about 7k on this pair and they show no signs of wear yet.
