I have a hard time believing the comment that "tires sometimes spin on the HRE wheels, as some of them are too small". Thats pure BS, because there are only about 4 hoop makers in the US for all custom wheels, and HRE buys them just like all the other brands out there. All of the brand name wheel manufacturers just make the centers and assemble the wheels with the purchased hoops.
BTW, who still uses message board formats like that? YUCK! I haven't seen one like that since 1995.

As for HRE I have always heard they have good quality and never heard anything about the corosion or anything else they mention. This is very interesting and I wonder if (if what you say is true) Iforged or another wheel manufacturer that uses the same lips are having some of the same problems. All I know is that my ugly Fikse lips are a tride and true design.
I don't think I would consider HRE's to go road racing with. On the other hand, I think they're one of the best looking/most expensive wheels out there.I always thought people bought HRE's for the "Bling" factor? Do a lot of people buy them to go race?

What about the point of them cracking and breaking? Doesnt matter to me as I've got a set of one-off Bonspeed wheels,just a nice looking wheel and thats about it.
