Cool thank you guys for the info i think that i am going to go down to discount and bring them some prices from tirerack hopfully they can beat them. I am just trying to figure out why discount tires want to charge me for tireracks shipping. The guy said that how they do there meet or beat pricing against tirerack. Anyone heard of this ?

Firehawk thats true i went into discount tires and they told me that they "DO NOT MEET OR BEAT AGAINST TIRERACK" that was his tone LOL and he was a manager. But he explained to me that the higher the tread wear number the harder the tire compound will be so he showed me some ventus k104's with a tread wear of 280. He said that he would sell them to me for 250 OTD. for 2 the tread compound is much grippier and softer then the other ones that i looked at there the felt hard and i knew the LS1 would spin those . But i have read a lot of GOOD and BAd reviews about the k104's they look like a pretty good tire and there priced really good at $111 a tire. I also saw some falken 451's that have GREAT reviews i hope he can order some of those at $118 per tire. What do you guys think. BTW thanks for all the help and info.

I felt that I should point out that the treadwear rating is only to compare tires from the same manufacturer. 240 on a Goodyear, will not be the same as 240 on a Firestone etc....

cool thanks for the extra input I think i am going to go with either the ventus k104's or the falken 451's prefreably the falkens i have had them before and there great tires to me at least.I had the 502's . I did not have to use a spacer i have the 17x9.5's with the 54 mm offset and the 7.375 back spacing. They fit great except on the front i can only run 255.40.17's anything wider rubb's because of the offset. Thats what the guy at les schwab told me .where i bought the wheel's.

Where are the fronts rubbing? That doesn't sound right. We have guys running 315's up front and lowered without rubbing.

Fuzions are great tires!! As far as not lasting a long time my set has lasted longer than any set of BFG KDWs I have had. Wise, for being more noisy, I would have to say no, I did not notice them being louder than any other tire I have run.

Note on BFG KDW -- not trying say that BFGs are crap tires, they are great for hot dry weather, but they wear way too fast and their wet traction is below par in my books -- so just do not think they are worth their high price.

I think the Fuzion are the best all round tire, especially for their cost. I even like the Fuzions better than my former favorite Bridgestone RE750s for the allround tire.

If you mean the plastic directly in front of the tire and it only rubs when you turn the wheel all the way, then that is no big deal. That plastic flexes, it won't hurt anything. My 275's rub there and I think all the cars with 275's rub there.

Is it rubbing on the plastic piece above the tire under compression or someplace else?
