Question Another ZO6 Rim Thread

Alright here's what I'm looking at getting. Black ZO6 Rims from Toms, 17x9.5+54mm in the front. 18x10.5+58mm in the rear.

I've heard a lot of people saying only get 53mm offset, so am I screwed if I get these? Why 53mm?

Also gonna put an Eibach Pro kit on for the drop, am I gonna rub? Will I need to bash some **** to get em to fit?

Thanks for the replies guys and I apologize in advance for posting about these rims for the millionth time.

58 mm offsets have a "tucked in" look. Especially on a 'bird, with the bigger wheel wells.

Lowered the wheels may rub on the inner wheel well.

I bought exact same set from him. You'll need to bang in the inner fenders so the tires wont rub out back, only took me 30 minutes. The fronts dont require any modification though.

Where can you get Zo6's with a 53mm offset?I have not found them.I am running 18x9.5 w/56mm offset on my 98,and they could stick out alittle more.

I'm thinking there was only one company making them. I can't remeber which though. I agree I would try to find atleast a 56mm. That is what mine are. I would like mine to stick out more. But if you have to get the 58mm. It's nothing a BFing sledge won't take car of. Or longer wheel studs and a 6mm spacer. That would get your 53mm offset. Oh also just an observation and my humble opinion. I think 18's all the way around look alot better than the 17's do up front especially in the motorsports. Just thought I would throw that in there.

I agree, was just worried that it would rub real bad up front with the lowering springs.

Go here http://www.corvettegarage.com/product/z06-chrome-wheel-sale!.html
I talked to some sales person about these rims on the phone, he told me they had a 53mm offset. Anyways a bought a set and they work fine, but the driver side rear does rub slightly when I take a corner faster, I think this is due to my rearend being slightly out of alignment. By the way I got the 18 by 9.5 and 18 by 10.5 set. The rims are heavy but they are good quility and i am happy with them.
