I just ordered some 17x9.5 & 17x11 AFS chrome ZR1s. Will the stock lug nuts w/blk pastic covers work for now? What should I purchase for the future?
Thanks

The stock lug nuts and caps will work just fine, but IMO the stock black cap look with the chrome wheels will not be one you will want to live with for long. You're best bet is to go with some Gorilla or McGard lugs/lockers in chrome. Stock stud size is M12x1.5 BTW.
McGards are the **** and if you go that route the kit you want is p/n 84537

Gorillas are also nice and will serve your purpose well - the kit you want is p/n 91733:

The above are chrome and if you want black, I know that McGard also makes the acorn bulge style in black - not sure about Gorilla.

The stock nuts work fine...... we ran them for years in the Corvette Challenge Series without a problem. The recommended torque for that fastner, with that wheel is 109-112 lbs/ft.

chicane, Do you know why the torque would be different for the ZR1s?

I had the stupid stock lugs with plastic caps on my factory ZR1's and I hated them. I found a set of new Impala/Monte Carlo SS chrome lugs on E-bay for about $20 shipped. They look great and were cheaper than buying a set at a local store. I've used Gorilla chrome's before and they tend to rust pretty easy if you've had them on and off a couple times. Since the ones I have are GM parts hopefully they won't have any problems. McGuard makes some black chrome lugs that I was going to get before I found the E-bay ones. I couldn't find anyone locally that carried them and from what I saw online they ran about $50 for a set.

I actually bought some chrome lugnuts at Murry's. I think they were called Gorilla Lug Nuts or something like that. Not bad, came with a warrenty and a little card that if you loose your lock key, theyll send you a new one.
