I have never ran tubes in my ET Streets nor have any of my friends, it is recommended but not required.

MT ET Street I ran where 26x10.5x16 on stock 16" Z28 silver five-stars and a few of my friends run the same tire on stock 16" chrome t/a rims. All with no tube and no problems

--- just for side note we dont not daily drive on these either, they get put on the cars the day the car is going to the track and taken off the next day. Cars are driven to and from the track though, most of the time, lol, sometimes they are trailed home.

I prefer the ET DR's to the ET Streets. No rear end float and car brakes much better at the end of the track. Tractions is also better with 18 psi in the DR's than 15 psi in the ET Streets. I cut the 60-ft in my sig on ET Streets and borrowed the same tires to a friend who cut a 1.65 60-ft with a bolt-on car.

I've owned and run both the ET Street and the ET Street Drag Radial. The ET Street is a stiffer rubber but with more of a wrinkle sidewall. This causes the skating at high speed at the track. The ET Street Drag Radials are cheaper, hook better, and are much more stable. I always run 16 PSI in the ET Street Drag Radial and usually ran 12PSI or 13PSI in the ET Streets. Best 60' with ET Streets was 1.69, best with ET Street Drag Radials was 1.65.

Some claim, besides the better stability through the traps, a slightly higher trap speed with the DRs, although this is hard to quantify/prove. Besides, 60' & e.t. are what really matter, after all we are not Supras.

Have you had any problems with your 10bolt running these tires?

I destroyed my 10bolt with these tires. I knew it was coming though...last day at the track...previous launching point of 3500rpm with a quick slip resulted in a bog and a 1.90sixty foot so I decided a lil more rpm was in order with a quick slip to help soften the hit to the rearend. light the staging lights, tach up 5k, tree drops and I "slip" the clutch which ended up being more of a dump, for a split second the car felt like it was rearended by a train...then I heard a LOUD POP and that was all she wrote.

My M/T ET Street radials handle well and quickly pull out of any spin I get into. Seldom do I ever break them loose and I drive pretty hard. You can't beat it for a dry weather tire, but, in a HARD rain they suck at any kind of high speeds. I mostly drive around town so I don't worry much about the rain ... they're down to the tread bars, as far as wear goes. They only have about 2,000 miles on them and I expect to get about 2,000 more before they are slick and ready to go draggin'!!!! Then, I'll buy another pair for the rear corners ... since they're not expensive.

That's the largest size their site lists for the radials. I'd call if you need larger. You never know ... maybe they make them for taller rims and only take phone orders ... wouldn't hurt to check. Anybody know for sure?

will running the et radial (275/50/15) allow me to stall it up to lets say 3000 and allow me to mash the pedal all the way to the floor on the launch or will i still have to roll into it like i am now with the nittos. thanks for the info.

I haven't launched on them at the track yet, but, I'd say go through the waterbox and just burn untilo you feel them 'pull down'. You'll definitely feel it ... only takes about 1-2 seconds from what I've heard. If the track is treated worth anything and you have relo brackets and/or torque arm and strong suspension, you should be able to stall it way higher than 3000 and get a good launch, but, don't 'slam' the pedal to the floor. Just progressively push it down pretty quickly ... even if you spin, they should bite quick ... IMHO.

Maybe some more experienced guys who race a lot will weigh in . Above is just from my observation from watching THEM at the track ... like I say, I've never launched on these tires at the track before. They say don't heat the **** out of them like you do the Nitto's

I never heat mine. I roll through the waterbox, do a short spin till they hook and then line up. A friend went with me to one race and the guy he was sitting next to thought I didn't know how to do a burnout cuz the tires didn't even smoke at all on the burnout. I never had an issue hooking all day. I did the same thing at a different track and they hooked awesome too. Air temp was mid to high 50's so there wasn't a lot of heat in the track at either track. I can't wait for spring so I can go play with them some more!

This is the quote from the MT website:

Burnouts
The tread compound used in the ET Street Radials is designed to heat quickly and does not require a heavy burnout. Continue the burnout until the engine starts to pull down.
