I've been to 195mph on Nitto 275/40/17's. My Car handled exceptionally well given all the factors on that particular run
There are a LOT of factors that will play a part in the stability of a high-speed run:
Suspension
Aero-dynamic Down-force
Aero-dynamic Drag
Wheel Size/Tire choice
Tire pressure
Ambient Temperature
Not in that order either.
I'll let you know what 200 feels like with a Nitto 315/35 on a 17x11" rim if the weather permits tonight

I went 170+ on a set of 165R15 tires on 15x3.5 prostars, and 245-50/16 kuhmos in the rear. The front wheels/tires weren't balanced worth a crap, and I was on full drag suspension. It was a hairy ride,
On the other side, I've done 185ish on 275/40-17 (17x9.5) kuhmo supra 712's in front, and 315/35-17 (17x11) Nitto Drags in the rear, the car was dead stable.

The Nitto DRs are V Rated. Up to 149 mph. I have run my car up to 175 just breifly then shut it down with Kumho Ecsta ASX on the front and Nitto DRs on the back. Can't say I'd like to do it very much though.

i got Firestone Firehawks 285-40-17 and they hook real good on street/strip for street tires. i used to get sideways as hell in 2nd gear now it breaks loose only a lil bit. theyre the next best thing to 315s!

One could find a track with a long-enough-banked-oval
As long as you had enough power to make it down the back stretch your fine

i see you have a 18" rim, right now i have a 16" but will prbably go to a 17" for stability.
any people here do a high end pull with a 16" or 17" rims? with what tires?

I run nitto 555dr's 315/35/17 on the rear and have rolled up to a good 155-160 on them with no problems at all.
