Default caring for black powdercoated rims....

For those who have black rims. How do you care for them, so you don't scratch up the black part of the rims? I go to the car wash every other week, will the brush at the self car wash, scratch my rims? Thanks for any info.

If they're powdercoated they're pretty tough and shouldn't scratch short of something metal or concrete scraping them. You'll be fine at a car wash. I bought a set of white powdercoated ones and thought the had some scratches on them...turns out it was just some junk that came off with some goof off.

treat it like you would treat your car paint

it responds well to wax just like your car would

I just wash them with a sponge and haven't had any probs. Regular car soaps is what I use.
