Honestly, Ive never heard that w/ KDWs. Ive heard the KDs wear out somewhat quick, but most of the people I know who said that were also driving like retards the majority of the time.

My KDs have lasted over a 1 1/2 years now and they still look pretty good. My KDWs lasted almost 2 years but they were pretty worn out by the time I replaced them, and I'm talking about the front ones not the back.

The Supra 712s my car came w/ didnt last for ****. When I picked it up there was next to no tred, and within 2 weeks bands were showing. These KDWs Ive had on since Sept, and will hopefully last awhile.

And not saying you drive like a retard 01. We all have different driving styles of course, but I know how most of my friends drive and when they say tires wear quick, I tend to take it w/ a grain of salt lol.

I'll keep an eye on my KDWs tho. They were costly enough, I dont want to replace them anytime soon.

I drive like a grandpa... My 315 KDs have lasted a year and a half and still have a lot of tread...that should tell you something Part of the problem might have been my alignment though. My Supra 712s lasted longer than my KDWs though. I drive my car everyday so that plays a big part in it too

try Discount Tire like 2_wacko said, or call up your local tire shop(s) and see what they quote you. Some of them around here will price match DT's price as far as the tire goes, but you still have to pay for install and all that jazz.

I love my KD's. They lasted me 14,000 miles with lots of performance oriented driving. No burnouts though, except for a real quick spin at the track. My best 60' with them is a 1.829. The wet traction is almost laughable but the dry traction is amazing. I strongly recommend them if you're okay with 14,000 miles per set, but most performance tires would last about that long.

I think the KDW's are definetly not quiet, i'm not sure what tires you guys are running before them but my car went from being fairly quiet inside to ear numbing after about an hour. These things are redicuosly loud. Even in stock 245's on my gf's car they were loud and notice a dramatic difference when she changed tires. When these tires are gone I will defenetly not get another set. They do grip well and wear well but damn there loud.

I've had both the KDW and KDWS. So far, I've liked the KDWS better. It is quieter, has great traction, and rides smoother. My car sits a good bit and the kdw tires had flat spots where as the kdws didn't. They are both great tires, but I recommend the kdws for comfort and no noise.

I think the KDW's are a really good tire. The past two times I have bought tires they have been the old-tread KDW's and I havent been disappointed yet. The traction is pretty good in wet conditions and as far as dry, they are excellent. I highly recommend them.
