I've been looking at the KDW...suppose to be a good tire from what I've read.

I had the KDW's ("old" tread design) on my stock rims and loved them. Good wet and dry traction, though I never did any really hard launches on them. Relatively low road noise (compared to the Kumho 712's they replaced) and good wear. I would definitely buy them again, but they don't make them in a 315/35/17.

Here are my BFG KDW NTs I have not had them long enough to know how good they are. But they do have a mean tread pattern.

I have all three versions:

KDWS - very nice all season tire, quiet, decent traction.

KDW - Good tire, better traction. ( i'd recommend)

KD - Decent tire, good traction, but VERY noisey . . . .

That is all we run on any of our cars hear at Year One. The new KDW's are what we are putting on them now. That is my next set of tires.

The tread pattern.

KDW

KDW2

The KDW is actually the new tread pattern. I had the old tread pattern and I prefer it, but that's me.

on the tire rack it says just the oppossite. It shows that the tires that look just like 2 wackos car is the kdw 2, and they are cheaper. I'm confused.

I've got 315/35/17 KD's on my 2000. I've done a little autocross and a track day at Road Atlanta on them and I have been very pleased with the way they've performed.

I run KDW's on the front of my car (nittos on back) and I've got no complaints. Y-rated (upto 186 mph?), not noisy, good grip for the front, good wear and I like the tread pattern too. Only thing is they are a bit on the heavy side. I like them better than the stock F1's.

I have the KD's and I have the KDW's I love them all. I've run other tires and I always go back to BFG's.

I got kdws tires and they get good traction and are really good in the rain unlike my old Daytonas.

I went from a 245/50 16 to a 275/40 17 and felt no weight differnce -when lifting the 16inch then 17inch tire, both with rims on- even though the kdws are bigger widder tires. But the big difference was in tire performance.

My only complaint about the KDW's is they wear out pretty quick. But they are good tires

usually i run dunlops (sp 9000), but they only make a 285-35/18 and i wanted a 295. the kdw nt's caught my eye, so i bought them for my ss w/ 18" c6 motorsports (18 x 9.5 w/ 275 up front, 18 x 10.5 w/ 295 out back) and so far i've cruised hard thru the foothills a couple times and they seem like great tires. i'll know more in a few thousand miles if they wear good. so far, i'm a happy consumer. i'd go with them again.
