Default Help on picking a tire

I got 18x9.5 w/.56 offset, whats a good size tire I can run without rolling the fender....I'd like wider in the back,I run 265/35 Toyo's all the way around right now....I'd like wider in the back but have the same height sidewall as the front.I like how the 265/35 looks,I think I'll run that size again on the front.

Is .56 a good offset?? Whats the good and bad of a .56??

I have the 56 offset and they fit perfect. I run a 275/35/18 BFG KDW NT.

275/35ZR18 is the PERFECT tire size for those wheels. OEM diameter too.

Won't 275's on the front cause too much bumb steer or whatever, you know where the road follows ruts and bumps and such??

I'm thinkin 265/35 on the front and 285/?? on the back....I want the sidewalls to be the same on the 285 as the 265....so what would that be?? 285/40??=same sidewall hieght as a 265/35??

275 series tires are OEM on Camaro SS's, Firehawks and WS6's . . . so as for the "tracking" issues, I have no idea where you come with that.

There is absolutely no point in running different width tires on same width wheels, you will regret it.

As for a 265 and 285 combo of the same height, there isn't one.

A 265/35ZR18 is too short and a 265/40ZR18 is too tall, compared to a 285/35ZR18

If you insist on a a narrower tire for the front run a 8" wide wheel witha 245/40ZR18 and a 9" wide wheel in back with a 275/35ZR18. Then you ahve two tires of the same OD.

i run 275/35/18 BFG KDW NT's right now and love them, not to mention by staying with the same size all around you can rotate them and prolong the life of the tires. for someone like me who doesnt race or go to the strip, thats a nice plus for me. i went from a 17/18 combo Z06's w/ a 10.5" back rim, so i had bigger rear than front. it looked good, but it had some tracking problems w/ the 275/40/17 in the front. but with the nee KDW's, no tracking issue whatsoever, drives tons better with the new rubber

Well....I asked about "tracking" cause my 265's do that now,the roads around here are pretty shitty, but I can deal with it,maybe new tires alone will help that.

I'm thinkin I'll go 275/35 all the way around then....my Toyo's are gettin' beat!!
Won't hold pressure, they're worn down, and the the sidewalls on 2 are chewed up due to numerous flats!!

abadss...how much did you end up paying for rubber?? tirerack??
